How to Fix Stuck on Connecting in Last Epoch

If you are stuck on connecting, make sure to completely close Last Epoch and restart the game. In some cases, it can even be beneficial to restart Steam entirely and then try again. Whenever the connecting screen is on an infinite loop, there is a good chance that server issues are present and you will be waiting on that screen forever. When this happens to me, I close out the Last Epoch process entirely so I can skip further issues.

There have been times when I close the game, and upon a second restart, it will crash or bring me back to a connecting loop. This is exactly why I close the process directly, which works nearly every time for me. An update might even be available to download the next time you close both Last Epoch and Steam. Once you’re on the latest version, you can try jumping back to the character screen where this issue happens most of the time.

Even if you can get past the connecting screen, there is still a chance for you to get stuck with the “Online Play Unavailable” message. This will also appear on the character selection screen and is a direct result of more server issues for the game. In this case, I would recommend taking a break or just trying a character offline. You may not be able to use that same character online, but at least you can start collecting more loot.

Another issue is tied to matchmaking with the Fortress Gardens, and teleporting can help you out there.
