With the Open Beta of MultiVersus available for everyone to play, many are eager to hop on and try the game out before the official release. Whether you’ve been playing in 2v2 team matches or free-for-all mode, challenging others is the game’s highlight. While most do not encounter any major issues, you may have experienced problems connecting to online play. Continue reading to learn how to fix the Offline Mode bug in MultiVersus.
How to Fix the Offline Mode Bug in MultiVersus
There are numerous potential causes for the Offline Mode glitch. For example, you may have an unstable or slow internet connection that interrupts your ability to join online play. In this case, changing or restarting your Wi-Fi may help.
The most likely source of the problem is having your age set to younger than 18. If this is the case, below are the steps to take to fix the Offline Mode bug in MultiVersus:
- Go to your Windows search bar and type %appdata%
- Once you’re in the Roaming folder, exit it and enter the Local folder instead.
- Scroll down and go into the Multiversus folder.
- Click on the Saved folder and look for the SavedGames file.
- Delete the SavedGames file before restarting Multiversus.
- Log back into Multiversus. When the screen asks for your age, choose any age older than 18.
The offline mode bug should resolve by taking these steps, allowing you to play online in MultiVersus again.
While this is the most common cause of the problem and a solution that works for many, it is not guaranteed to solve it. Occasionally, the official MultiVersus social media platforms will inform players about current log-in issues, bugs and other miscellaneous problems. These updates are especially prevalent during the ongoing Open Beta since the game has not fully launched and still has some glitches to sort out before release. You can check MultiVersus’ social media platforms, such as their Twitter page or the news section of their website, for more information about any current issues they’re working on fixing.
MultiVersus is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, PS4, and PS5 platforms through the WB website. If you don’t yet own the game, check out our Open Beta Twitch Drops guide to grab the game before the official launch on July 26.
