How To Finish the First Foothold Quest in ARC Raiders

After you unlock the Blue Gate region in ARC Raiders, you are greeted by a stunning but dangerous map filled with scattered quests and roaming ARCs. The first major quest Apollo gives you, “A First Foothold,” contains multiple objectives that may take a run or two to complete.

If you’re unsure what to look for in each objective, I’ve got you covered with the exact locations and what you need to do for each one.

A First Foothold Quest Guide in ARC Raiders

To complete the First Foothold quest, you need to complete the following objectives in the Blue Gate region in any order you like:

• Stabilize the observation deck near the Ridgeline.
• Enable the comms terminal near the Olive Grove.
• Rotate the satellite dishes on the Church roof, north of the Data Vault.
• Nail down the roof plates on the Raider structure near Trapper’s Glade.

Since this is an early quest, I recommend using a free loadout to avoid wasting items from your stash. Ideally, head to the nearest point of interest near your spawn and focus on completing the objectives rather than trying to maximize your runs. Additionally, I’d holster my weapon to run as fast as possible if you’re aiming to complete multiple objectives in the same run.

Let’s go over each objective and what you need to do for each. Reminder, you can do these in any order you like.

Objective A: Stabilize the Observation Deck Near the Ridgeline

For this objective, you need to locate the observation deck platform near the Ridgeline and stabilize it. You can get to the observation deck by going to the following exact point on the map:

The deck has an antenna attached next to it with a yellow flag. It’s really hard to miss.

Approach it and you’ll be able to “Stabilize Deck” by interacting with it.

Objective B: Enable the Comms Terminal Near the Olive Grove

Make your way southwest of the Olive Grove to find the Comms Terminal. This area can be tricky since many ARCs, including a deadly Rocketeer and Bombardier, tend to patrol around the Olive Grove and Ruined Homestead. Your best bet is to avoid those two spots entirely and head to the location marked on the map by circling the area:

When you’re close, you’ll see the terminal with a bright yellow monitor, which is the terminal itself:

Interact with it to activate the comms terminal. It takes a few seconds, so make sure you’re not being chased by ARCs.

Objective C: Rotate the Satellite Dishes on the Church Roof, North of the Data Vault

The Church with the Satellite Dishes is North West of the Data Vault. Compared to the other buildings in the vicinity, the Church has a very Church-like structure, and you can reach it by going to the exact spot marked on the map below:

It has a bunch of flag decorations at the top and medium-sized dishes as well. Climb it using the platforms on the back side.

Approach the dish and you’ll be able to rotate it:

Objective D: Nail Down the Roof Plates on the Raider Structure Near Trapper’s Glade

Just a bit south of the Trapper’s Glade, you’ll find a Raider structure with a red and yellow flag dangling from a dish antenna. Here is the exact location for this structure marked on the map:

Climb the structure and approach its roof, where you’ll see a generator and a few antenna markers. Nail the roof plates by interacting with them, and that’s about it:

A First Foothold Quest Rewards

After you’ve completed all four objectives, you will receive the following rewards from Apollo:
