Most monsters are a blight to anyone who lays eyes on them. Inherently hideous and annoying, you’ll likely want to kill them immediately. With the exception of one particular creature. The elusive and highly sought after Treasure Goblin. Here’s how to find Treasure Goblins in Diablo IV.
How to Find Treasure Goblins in Diablo IV
Treasure Goblins have been present in Diablo since Diablo III, and are little demons that steal loot and everything that glitters. They are servants to the baroness of Greed herself, and they enter the mortal realm through portals.
Fortunately, these spry little beasties don’t attack. Instead, they spend all of their time trying to desperately get away from you, often beelining it to the nearest group of enemies to slow you down. If you let them get out of sight, they’ll vanish along with the pack of loot on their shoulders.
Manage to kill them, and you’ll be treated to a large assortment of loot. Loot that can even include Legendary equipment.

But how do you find them? Unfortunately, Treasure Goblins are random spawns that occur throughout the Sanctuary. But, as you’re traveling, you might notice a particular icon on your mini map.
I’ve blown this image up so you can see some of the more refined details, but there’s no mistaking that it’s an image of a little scamp with a big bag on his shoulder.
Head in the direction of the icon and you’ll soon be upon the Treasure Goblin. Slowing and freezing moves are very effective against Treasure Goblins, but so is spamming attacks and dashes before it can run away.
The Treasure Goblin isn’t the only random source of excellent loot. Silent Chests spawn throughout Sanctuary and can offer a wide variety of material-based blessings. Check out how to unlock them here: How to Open Silent Chests in Diablo IV.
