How to get the Axe From the Lake Task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

You get the Axe from the Lake Task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 by talking to Zdenyek the Mouth NPC in Tachov.

You will eventually end up in Tachov as a part of the ‘Blacksmith’s Son’ side quest and talk to Radovan, the town’s blacksmith.

Zdenyek the Mouth is a a local storyteller who frequents the town’s tavern. True to his nickname, Zdenyek spins tales for patrons over drinks. Sit down with him, share a beer, and he will tell you the story that kicks off this Task in the game.

How to Reach the Axe Location in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Once the quest is active, open your journal and track it to mark the search area near Rocktower Pond. To reach the pond, start from Zheleznov Inn and follow the main road west into the forest.

Look for the path branching off toward the pond. When you arrive at the pier along the shore, Henry will remark, “Is this the pier from Zdenyek’s story?” He’ll also recall that Matthias, a character from the tale, carried his brother Kuba’s body uphill to an old oak tree nearby.
