How to Run Away From the Sandfish in Split Fiction

The first part of the sandfish puzzle in Split Fiction begins when you reach an area with four towers. These towers are positioned two on each side, each with a rock at the base and sand surrounding them. Each tower has a lever that you can interact with.
To start, choose either Zoe or Mio to interact with one of the towers. When you activate the lever, it sends a pulse through the ground, catching the attention of the sandfish. A button prompt will appear—successfully completing it will create a loud thump.
This thump happens four times in total, giving the other player enough time to move from one platform to the next.

Once the first player has crossed, it’s their turn to interact with the tower and help the second player by repeating the process. This back-and-forth teamwork is key to solving this section of the puzzle and escaping the sandfish.

After escaping the first sandfish, both players will need to interact with a beam to make it fall, creating a path to cross. Be careful, though—a second sandfish is circling below the beam, so timing is crucial.
The next part of the puzzle requires you to vault over a series of vertical beams to reach the far end. Simply aim for a beam, jump, and your character will automatically land on top of it.

Finally, the last step involves raising a bridge and carefully crossing its thin, thread-like structure to reach the next platform. Once you’ve done this, you’ll successfully complete the puzzle section and leave the sandfish behind for good.
When Do You Encounter the Sandfish in Split Fiction?
You get the sandfish challenge during The Legend of the Sandfish side story in the Neon Revenge chapter of Split Fiction. This is an optional mission so feel free to skip it if you are finding it difficult to complete.
