How to Edit Your Saves in Last Epoch

A tweak to the save file, perhaps?

It’s rather rare for a game to release nowadays with a full-blown offline mode, especially an ARPG with seasons. Last Epoch offers both, though, and it begs the question of how to edit your saves in Last Epoch when playing offline.

Can You Edit Your Saves in Last Epoch?

Yes, it is entirely possible to edit your saves in Last Epoch, including your character. However, it’s important to note that editing the save file goes against the Terms of Service developer Eleventh Hour Games set forth. If you edit a save, you actively break their rules and may risk your account being banned in the process. Is it worth the trouble?

If so, you must download a cheat engine to edit your save files in Last Epoch. You can find one on Google quickly enough, and it’s a quick and straightforward download before you can access every bit of information in the game. The save file editor allows you to change the values and affixes on every piece of gear in your inventory. You can edit your character, their skills, and even your in-game bank account. It’s like playing the game on easy mode. Easier than easy.

Can You Edit Multiplayer Characters?

No, so far as we can tell, it’s impossible to edit multiplayer characters, even using the cheat engine. If you try, the studio will likely ban your account with zero hesitation. Furthermore, character information is stored via the game’s servers, so everything is in-house, and attempting to edit a multiplayer character will likely lead to failure.

If we’re being sincere, I suspect the cheat engine won’t last long, either. Last Epoch is a massive success, and developer Eleventh Hour Games now has numerous eyes on them. It would make sense for them to shut down a cheat program altogether to ensure everyone is on a level playing field — offline or online.

In the meantime, why not focus on unlocking Mastery Classes in Last Epoch?
