How to Earn the TR-117 ‘Halo’ Armor in Helldivers 2

If 343 won't do it, this'll have to do

Helldivers 2 has gotten a cheeky Master Chief-inspired armor set, and getting your hands on it won’t require spending any cash. Time may be money, but this reward won’t require your undivided attention.

Helldivers 2 TR-117 Alpha Commander Twitch Drop Details

The TR-117 Alpha Commander armor is a medium-class armor set with medic bonuses – increased stims and higher stim duration. To get it, just cruise over to Helldivers 2’s Twitch Account Link page, sign in with Twitch, and then watch any number of Helldivers 2 streamers who are participating for 1 hour total. You have until February 23 at 6:30 EST to earn the drop.

Unlike most Twitch drops, these are not automatic. You won’t just click a button and see the skin appear in-game, you’ll need to revisit the Helldivers account link page to get a code. When you log in after watching an hour, you’ll simply select the platform you’re playing on, then redeem the code through either PSN or Steam. You can see how close you are to getting the skin by visiting the Drops & Rewards page on Twitch:

Helldivers 2 Twitch Campaign Details

This Campaign is part of a scored, competitive joust between a number of streamers as they play Helldivers 2. Teams have two-hour windows to rack up as many points as possible, with the current high score being 100 by Citizen of Integrity in the United Kingdom.

Points are rewarded from earning Medals, killing enemies, extracting Helldivers, and “Community Vote Strategem” uses. Chatters can vote on a Strategem to become available for each team, and they’ll earn points for each team members’ use of it.

It’s all a bit of friendly competition, of course. Unless I’m mistaken, I don’t even see a reward for being the highest-scoring team. Unless you count defending Democracy as a reward in itself. You do, don’t you?
