How to Deal With Hygrodere Slime in Lethal Company

Ooze!

Unironically, Hygrodere Slime is one of the most dangerous enemies in Lethal Company. Many players underestimate its capabilities due to its slow speed until they find themselves trapped in a dead end, waiting to meet their (slow) fate—here’s how to deal with Hygrodere Slime in Lethal Company.

What is a Hygrodere Slime?

If you see something resembling a fresh oil spill on the floor (between the shades of blue, violet, and green) slowly creeping up on you, you see a Hygrodere Slime. Whatever you do, you must not let it touch you. It’s almost an instant death, and it’s all over for you.

Hygrodere Slime Bestiary Entry

The Lethal Company Bestiary describes Hygrodere slime as the following:

“A eukaryotic organism classified within the paraphyletic group Prostita. With the incredible speed of reproduction, these small organisms can multiply to millions. Hygrodere rarely split apart, instead choosing to form large, viscous masses which can take up large amounts of space and become a danger to deal with, requiring large tools or lures to relocate.

Hygrometry are drawn to heat and oxygen and can detect it from seemingly anywhere. There’s almost nothing organic they can’t convert to their own body mass. Nothing has been found to poison them. Constantly replacing themselves, they can persist for hundreds of thousands of years. If you ever find yourself cornered, find a tall object to stand on top of; hygroderes have trouble climbing. they have great taste! cause I made a friend with one somehow, and we think it was my music.”

What to Do When You See a Hygrodere Slime in Lethal Company

Some strategies that will help you outrun the Hygrodere Slime in Lethal Company are:

  • Leave the boombox (if you can afford to lose it) in a corner of a big room. The slime likes to dance, and you can use that moment to run around Hygrodere Slime to your freedom.
  • Lock the Hygrodere Slime behind a door.
  • Jump over it. Please note that this is very difficult to do and that it would be great if you would have a railing to jump off of to gain a crucial jump distance. If you fail, it will just eat you.

Rail Cheesing has been removed in Patch 45, and you can no longer stand on the rail and wait for the Hygrodere to pass.

Can You Kill Hygrodere Slime in Lethal Company?

You cannot kill the Hygrodere Slime in Lethal Company, so take our sound advice: do not bash it with shovels, stop signs, or yield signs. The slime will multiply or engorge and only make things worse for you. All you can do is run out of the facility (bunker) because otherwise, it will never stop haunting you.

Slime is indeed slow, but there are much faster enemies in Lethal Company that are also dangerous, such as Coil-Head in Lethal Company, which we advise you to inform yourself about.
