How to Complete the Final Strand in Destiny 2

The flit of tiny wings, the pull of a trigger.

It is a massive grind to get all the Strand fragments unlocked, but it is worth it for the Exotic Final Strand. So, let us get into how to complete its associated quest, The Final Strand, in Destiny 2.

How to Complete the Final Strand in Destiny 2

The Final Strand Exotic Quest is a seven-step quest line that will meld Strand energy into a weapon.

Step 1: Visit Nimbus

Visit Nimbus in Strider’s Gate.

  • Nimbus visited.

Head over to Nimbus to discuss your ideas about building a Strand weapon. Unsurprisingly, Nimbus is all about it. They direct you over to the Irkalla Institute to search out the necessary component.

Step 2: Veil Containment Searched

Search for Strand-inoculated gadgets in Veil Containment in Neomuna.

  • Veil Containment searched.

So! To get to Veil Containment, we will need to go to Zephyr Concourse, then head towards the turnstiles on the west / left side of the map. Jump the turnstiles and follow the yellow corridor until you enter Esi Terminal.

Once you exit Esi Terminal, turn left. Go straight and enter the door at the end of the path. You will know you are in the right place if you see graffiti of a giant blue eye on the right wall just before you enter the door.

Walk through the building and turn right, exiting out onto a balcony. Platform across the transparent awnings. The moment you land on the first awning, you will be given a notification that you have entered the Irkalla Complex. From the transparent awning, jump down onto the green platform below, then platform into the bar in front of you.

Once you land in the bar, you will see a black and yellow teleporter orb. Go through it.

You will arrive in the Irkalla Complex, where you once held the line with Caital. Good times. Walk into the middle of the Complex to trigger the next step.

Step 3: Defeat the Shadow Legion looters

Defeat the Shadow Legion looters and read their orders to learn where they took the spoils.

  • Orders read.

The Complex is practically crawling with Shadow Legion, and you will need to defeat eight specific Legion in order to complete this step. They range from Legionary to Centurion, and they are easy enough to pick off from the various platforms around the Complex.

Once you kill the first eight, a new wave of Shadow Legion will arrive, and their numbers will include two sniper Psions and one yellow-bar Colossus. Deal with them, too.

Once the Colossus falls, he will drop an item. Pick it up and you will have found the Orders.

Step 4: Veil Spectrometer retrieved

Retrieve the Veil spectrometer from the Typhon Imperator

  • Veil spectrometer retrieved.

Well, looks like we are paying Calus’s old fortress a visit. Head back to Strider’s Gate (or Liming Harbor) then make your way to Ahimsa Park. Roll up the ramp to Calus’s fortress and go left at the misshapen horse statues. Stay left until you hit the dead end. Turn right and drop into the hole. You will be in Typhon Imperator.

We do not have to do the jump puzzle! If you look down between the two giant statues, there is actually a stone bridge that you can land on. Jump down to it and make your way straight through. There will be Cabal and a Tormentor waiting for you.

Destroy the first mob of Cabal and get the Tormentor to half health. If you want to cheese it a bit, jump up to the feet of the Cabal statues on your left or right. The Tormentor cannot jump up to you there. But you cannot stay there the entire fight.

Once the Tormentor is half health, he will retreat backward, and Phalanx Cabal will start spawning in. The Tormentor will use their shields to hide from your bullets while shooting flying scythes at you. You will need to kill the Phalanx protecting him in order to take down the Tormentor.

When the Tormentor goes down, you will get the Veil spectrometer.

Step 5: Visit Pouka Pond

Visit the Pouka Pond in the Hall of Heroes in Neomuna

  • Pouka Pond Visited.

Once the Tormentor is dead, head straight to the quick travel point in The Hall OF Heroes and approach the meditative focal point in The Pouka Pond.

Its vibrations are off, so we need to go back to Radiosonde.

Step 6: Complete Osiris’s Training Program

Complete Osiris’s training program in Radiosonde in at least 5 minutes 30 seconds to retune the Veil spectrometer.

  • Goal time: 5:30.

Fortunately, this is not Partition: Hard Reset. There will be two obstacle course sections where you will need to kill Goblin (two then four respectively), then a boss section. To trigger the boss section, you will need to kill Goblin from each of the four spawns around the room. Then the boss Minotaur will spawn in, along with a Wyvern. Use everything you have on the Minotaur to bring him down as quickly as possible.

If you ever feel like you have messed up the time already and way to restart, go into Directory, then Map, and relaunch the mission. You do not have to go back into Orbit.

Step 7: Visit the Pouka Pond

Visit the Pouka Pond in the Hall of Heroes to finish your Strand weapon.

The Pouka will be happy to see you, and now everything is just right. You craft your gun, and now you have Final Warning, the Exotic Kinetic Sidearm! Congrats, Guardian.
