How to Complete Search for Protorelic Clues: Coastal Lookout in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7)

How to Finish “Search for Protorelic Clues: Coastal Lookout” in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – Walkthrough

Once you speak to Chadley at Bill’s Farm, he’ll fill your map with all types of optional objectives, including Phenomenon Intel 1: Coastal Lookout, located at the very top right of the Grasslands. Make your way to this objective, and you’ll find a lighthouse surrounded by a fence.

Get a little closer, and you’ll see a prompt to investigate the area. But that’s easier said than done – the door is locked. Fortunately, there’s a way to get inside. Head right, and you’ll see that there’s a big hole in the fence.

Use the Triangle button to slide under and make your way to the front. Once you do, you’ll find that the big wooden doors are also locked. But never fear. Just to the left of them are some yellow-painted outcroppings. You can use the Triangle key to climb.

Once you reach the top, you’ll find some familiar faces: Beck’s Badasses. They’ve gone “legit,” leaving Midgar for worldwide financial domination. And it looks like they’ve found something worth flipping. Talk to them and demand they give it to you. But, of course, they won’t give it to you without a fight.

You’ll then need to fight three out of the four. Burt, Butch, and Burk are all weak to fire. And if you’re struggling with them, it’s a good idea to take advantage of them when they’re using their special moves. Attacking Butch while he’s setting traps, for example, will immediately stagger him.

However, before you kill them, it’s a good idea to steal Celeris from Butch. Celeris is a rare consumable that will Hasten whoever uses it, and it can generally only be found by Bandits like Beck and Butch.

Once you defeat them, Chadley will tell you that you must chase down the one that’s escaped, which will unlock Phenomenon Intel 2: Pipeline Management Facility south of Kalm. But you’ll still complete Coastal Lookout and get the Intel Points, so job well done.
