Escape from Tarkov’s Rough Tarkov quest is one of the most dangerous quests in the game. The quest forces you to play around with planted explosives on two different maps. It is best to come prepared so you can dodge these claymores and landmines by knowing where to go. Here’s how you can finish the Rough Tarkov task in Escape from Tarkov.
How to Finish the Rough Tarkov Task in Escape from Tarkov
To finish the Rough Tarkov task, you must finish the following objectives:
- Locate the heavily mined area on Woods
- Locate the Claymore Mine on Ground Zero
You don’t have to finish the objectives in any order. As long as you finish the objective on each of the maps, that specific objective will be marked as complete. The quest rewards the Tripwire Installation Kit, which was introduced in patch 0.15 and is a lot of fun to use.
Heavily Mined Area Location on Woods
The heavily mined area location on Woods is near the USEC camp, north of ZB-016, and near the ponds. The USEC camp is a hot spot for loot, and it is frequented by players who are also finishing quests like Easy Money and Search Mission. In the Woods image above, the heavily mined area is in the red circle. There are mines scattered around the area, but as long as you are in the vicinity of the camp, you won’t explode.
In the second image, you’ll see a tent. While looking into the tent, hug the left side until you see those sandbags. Just step near the sandbags, and you should hear a chime, signaling that you have finished the quest. Go to the nearest exfil and extract out of the map.
Claymore Mine Location on Ground Zero
The Claymore Mine on Ground Zero is located in the Tarbank building next to the vehicle extraction point. As you go inside the bank, go to the broken wall and follow the hallway until the end. Once you reach the dead end, don’t go inside the open room. Just step outside the room, and you should finish the objective. The Claymore Mine is set inside the small room at the end of the hallway, so if you go near it, it’ll explode and kill you.
Ground Zero is an easier map to navigate, but it is more difficult because there are a lot of enemies condensed into the small map. However, if you are able to go inside the building first, you should have no problem finishing the quest.
