How to Complete Mogawak Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

There's a lot of electricity for a shrine that's all about water

As you might expect from the shrine beneath the Zora Domain, Mogawak Shrine is all about water. So, slap on those floaties because we’re about to get wet. Here’s how to Complete Mogawak Shrine in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to Complete Mogawak Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

Before we even get started, I’d like to put down the coordinates for anyone who needs to complete this Domain Shrine but hasn’t stumbled across it yet. It’s so easy to miss something in a world as big as this, which is torture if you’re a completionist.

How to Find Mogawak Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

If coordinates help, here’s where you need to go: 3299, 0424, 0112. If you’d prefer something a little bit more landmark based, Mogawak is in the Zora’s Domain, which is why this is frequently known as the Domain Shrine. It’s to the far east in the center of the pool of muck. It can be hard to access because of both the muck and the mountains that surround it.

Now that we’re all here, let’s get to the puzzling. For this one, there’s only one we’ll need to do.

Head down the stairs and you’ll see a platform with a propeller. Our goal for this shrine is to charge the empty battery beside it, attach it to the propeller, and zoom up to the top where the goddess statue is.

  • Use Ultrahand to take the empty battery up the stairs to the right.
  • Place the battery on the circular charging port against the right wall.
  • Attach the wooden board floating in the water to the circular mechanism on the wall beneath the spout.
  • Use Ultrahand to nudge it. (If this doesn’t work, you can put the plank at an angle so it better catches the water. Even if it just moves a little, it works fine).
  • Once the battery is full / completely yellow, carry it up the stairs to the lift.
  • Get on the lift first.
  • Place the battery on the charging port.
  • You’ll zip up.
  • Done!

How to get the Secret Chests in Mogawak Shrine

There are actually two chests in this shrine!

For the first, on the right corridor, where you created a waterwheel, you’ll find a chest sunken in the pool of water on the left. Pull it out with Ultrahand to find a Magic Scepter (7).

For the second, you’ll need the fully charged battery. Walk or Ultrahand the battery to the opposite corridor but don’t put it on the charging port yet. Doing so will kill the juice!

Instead, use Ultrahand to move the two metal balls at the bottom of the pool closer together. I found that this was easiest using the d-pad to move them. Once the balls are as close together as possible, put the battery on the charging pad.

This will share the shock from one ball to the next, opening the door on the other side. Swim across, staying away from the yellow electrified circle of water. Go through the gate and claim your chest, which has an Opal in it.

Just like in a public pool, avoid the yellow spots.

Unfortunately, you’ll now have to go back and recharge your battery at the water wheel pool.

But once all that’s done, you’re really done! Congrats on completing another Shrine, you intrepid adventurer.
