How to Find Hellbreaches in Diablo 4 Season 5

The Hellbreach is a new dungeon type that has multiple locations on the map. There are three Hellbreach dungeons in Season 5: Civo, Dúlra, and Omath.

The Civo Breach is located in Dry Steppes, the Dúlra Breach is located in Scosglen, and the Omath Breach is in Kehjistan. Each of the Hellbreach dungeons works with the same format, though there are small differences with mini-boss fights and modifiers among them. Players will encounter each of the dungeons during the Season of the Infernal Hordes questline but it is great for starting characters to gear up beforehand.

Each of the Hellbreach dungeons consists of three areas, with the first two having players collect Burning Aether, then fighting a boss in the last area. These are relatively short dungeons for players to get a taste of the Infernal Hordes that will appear in World Tier 3.

The first area has players defeating several mini-bosses that will drop Burning Aether. Once collected, players will be prompted with a choice between two modifiers that will make the next area harder. The second area is more of the same, but the modifiers to pick are much harder and optional.

Choosing one of the modifiers for the boss area will give you one chance to fight the boss. However, you will be awarded with more Burning Aether. Defeating the simple boss will spawn three chests with different Aether costs. Doing the hardest modifier will leave you with 20 Burning Aether to unlock the highest chest. Burning Aether will disappear after completing the dungeon and does not carry over to others.
