How to Collect Vault of the Incarnates Transmog Appearances in WoW Patch 10.1.5

Fashion: the true endgame.

Patch 10.1.5 is right around the corner, landing on July 11. With it come tons of quality of life improvements, particularly for transmog-hunters like myself. Besides the new transmog tracking catalogue, we’re also getting easier ways to collect Sepulcher of the First Ones (Shadowlands Season 3) and Vault of the Incarnates (Dragonflight Season 1) appearances. Let’s find out how.

By using the Creation Catalyst (either the one in Zereth Mortis or Thaldrazus) on a piece of raid-appropriate gear, you can transform it into a tier piece for your class. For instance, if I’m playing Paladin and a Warrior chestpiece drops from Sepulcher of the First Ones, I can transform it into the Paladin tier piece for no additional cost.

This system also works on select Forbidden Reach gear (depending on its item level), which is probably for the best since soloing even the Sepulcher of the First Ones is impossible at the current power level of our characters, let alone Vault of the Incarnates.

Collecting transmogs can be a pain, especially since legacy loot rules don’t apply to current-content raids, meaning you won’t be getting as many drops (and therefore chances at the appearance you want). We’re at the very least getting Solo Shadowlands LFR in 10.1.5, meaning you can attempt to solo, or duo, Sepulcher of the First Ones in an attempt to get gear to convert to tier pieces.

It’s all a bit confusing, to be sure. To recap: it’s a bit easier to get tier appearance by converting non-tier for free using the Creation Catalyst. Fashion hunters rejoice.
