All New Content in WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.1.5 – Fractures in Time

It's about time.

I know we literally just got patch 10.1, but today Blizzard released a blog post detailing the upcoming PTR release of World of Warcraft Dragonflight patch 10.1.5. If you’re like me, you probably just want the big highlights of new content, so that’s exactly what we’ll be taking a look at.

Before we start, let’s take a quick look at the roadmap for 2023, shown below:

As you can see, we’re a good chunk of the way through this year’s roadmap already, but there’s plenty more on the way. 10.1 dropped last week, and brought with it a new Raid, Zone, Mythic+ season and tons of class changes. Looking ahead to 10.1.5, called Fractures in Time, we can already get a good idea of what’s in store.

New Mega-Dungeon – Dawn of the Infinite

This new Infinite Dragonflight-themed dungeon is of the Mega variety, meaning it’ll have eight bosses instead of the usual four. These are incredible undertakings which usually contain unique challenges that reward things like mounts, so this is definitely something to get excited for.

New Dracthyr Specialization

The Augmentation specialization is coming to the Dracthyr Evoker class, fleshing it out with a third playstyle. This is perhaps the most unique-sounding spec Blizzard has ever offered players – something of a support-type DPS class. Instead of doing raw damage, the Augmentation Evoker focuses on buffing their allies’ abilities instead. Very interested to see how this plays out – will it be so strong that it’s near-mandatory for every party? Or will it be balanced enough that the lack of straightforward throughput is acceptable? Time (heh) will tell.

These are the major standouts of patch 10.1.5, but there are a few others worth mentioning:

Time Rifts: A new overworld event type in which players will fight the minions of the Infinite Dragonflight.

Whelp Daycare: A new Renown-based system which sees players raising five dragon whelps as they grow.

Morelocks Warlocks: The Warlock class is now available to Night Elves, Draenei, Lightforged Draenei (huh?), Pandaren, Kul Tiran, Tauren, Highmountain Tauren, Mag’har Orcs, and Zandalari Trolls.

That about does it! We still have a ways to go until patch 10.1.5, but if you’re itching to play sooner you can always sign up for the Public Testing Realm and give feedback.
