How to Collect Light Bulbs in The Plucky Squire

Light bulb moments!

Light bulbs are the main currency in The Plucky Squire, and can be collected throughout your journey inside and outside the book. These allow you to buy new abilities and artwork and upgrade existing attacks. Here is the easiest way to collect light bulbs in The Plucky Squire so you can purchase things faster.

Collecting Light Bulbs in The Plucky Squire

The easiest way to collect Light Bulbs in The Plucky Squire is by slashing bushes. Almost every other bush in The Plucky Squire will drop light bulbs as soon as you slash them with your sword.

This applies to the bushes in the 3D space as well. Light bulbs are even more plentiful in the 3D spaces, even outside of the bushes.

Some trees also drop light bulbs, but barrels don’t. Enemies will also drop light bulbs, but the most you’ll get is one light bulb per enemy. That’s why the best way to get these is by making sure you clear out all the bushes on a page before moving to the next.

Not every area from previous chapters is accessible after certain points, so it’s recommended to collect light bulbs while you’re progressing through the world. Most of the upgrades, and new abilities require around 80-200 light bulbs.

You can get these new upgrades and abilities by interacting with Martina’s shops that are scattered around the Land of Mojo.

While new attacks can be a bit pricey, the upgrades are normally pretty cheap. This is if you’re actively slashing bushes though, because while the combat itself is pretty simple, getting those upgrades can make fights quite faster to get through.

We’re glad that The Plucky Squire only has one currency, which makes things quite easy to keep track of. If you’re still in the early chapters, here is how you can save the fish in The Plucky Squire, and earn the Huge Frog achievement as well.
