How to Change Your Loadout in THE FINALS

Switch it up on the battlefield.

The Finals is a free-to-play first-person shooter from a development studio made up of ex-Battlefield developers. So, it is no surprise that there are multiple classes to choose from and this guide will show how to change your loadout in the game.

How to Customize Your Loadout in THE FINALS

Players can customize their loadout directly from the main menu by selecting the Edit option at the bottom of the menu. This will customize the currently active loadout, but here is how to change any of them:

  • Select Contestants from the main menu.
  • Choose one of the multiple loadouts already available, which will make it the currently active loadout.
  • Select Edit.
  • Selecting the Specialization, Weapon, Gadgets, or Reserve items will bring up a sub-menu of other items to switch it out with.

Items that are not greyed out can be switched into your active loadout. Items that are greyed out need to be unlocked through in-game currency by selecting them and choosing Unlock or buying through the Equipment menu from the main menu. There are separate loadouts for the Light, Medium, and Heavy classes.

The Reserve section can also be edited, but these items are not initially equipped at the start of each match. Players can edit their weapons and gadgets during a match but can only choose items equipped to the Reserve section.

Players can customize their Style, Emotes, and Sprays by selecting each at the top of the loadout menu. These options are specific to this loadout and not the class itself. Players can make multiple loadouts for each class from the Contestants menu.
