Introduced in Gen 4, Rotom, also known as the Plasma Pokemon, is one of the more popular entries in the Pokedex due to its ability to switch into multiple forms that resemble home appliances. How to Get the Rotom Catalog in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To change Rotom’s form, you need to bid on and win the Rotom Catalog. It shows up at one of the vendor’s stalls randomly and you’ll have to reign victorious over two other Trainers in a bidding war if you want to be its new owner. Just keep selecting the lowest price until they give up and you win it.

How to Use the Rotom Catalog in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

With the Rotom Catalog in hand, make sure you have your Rotom in your Party. Then open your Bag and tab over to Key Items. Click on the Catalog and you’ll be asked which form you want the Pokemon to take on in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:

• Lightbulb – original Rotom form, Electric/Ghost-type
• Microwave oven – Heat Rotom, Electric/Fire-type
• Washing machine – Wash Rotom, Electric/Water-type
• Refrigerator – Frost Rotom, Electric/Ice-type
• Electric fan – Fan Rotom, Electric/Flying-type
• Lawn mower – Mow Rotom, Electric/Grass-type

Simply make your choice and then click on the Pokemon in your Party and voila! You can switch Rotom’s form at any time by using the Rotom Catalog.
