So, before we even dive into this, it’s important to note that cross-trading is a bannable offense on Adopt Me. Cross-trading is the act of trading Adopt Me items, like pets, for goods and services, items in other Roblox experiences, items in other games, or Robux/real money. Essentially, if you can’t make the trade in adopt me using the trading menu, it’s considered cross-trading.
If you’re caught cross-trading, you can have your Adopt Me account banned. Cross-trading isn’t just against the rules in Adopt Me; it’s against the rules in all of Roblox. But there is currency you can legally use, and that’s the Silk Bag, which was added in the 2024 Lunar New Year Event. The Silk Bag costs 1050 bucks, and you can trade it in Adopt Me for pets. To get bucks to buy Silk Bags, press the bucks icon in the top left corner of your screen. Then click shop, and this will put you in the Robux Shop. From here, you can opt to purchase bucks that will let you buy Adopt Me pets directly, like the Midnight Dragon.

There’s also an in-game merchant at the Pet Shop in the square, beside the hospital. Periodically, the Pet Shop will have sales, making the pets inside more affordable. Otherwise, you can use the Gumball Machine, which you can use Bucks and essentially works like a gacha machine. The eggs purchased from the Gumball Machine will cost you 750 bucks.
But if you’re wondering how to get specific pets for Adopt Me off the server, your best bet is the AdoptMeTrading subreddit, which only allows for trading. However, if you do try to purchase Adopt Me pets, I highly recommend using a subreddit with a scammer list pinned at the top. Though you’re still risking your account and money in doing so.
