Building your house or base is the first thing you should aim for when playing a new playthrough in Hytale.

It helps you be organized and centralize your crafts, storage, and everything else. If you are new to the game, here’s a quick guide on how to set up a base or house in Hytale.

How to Build a Base in Hytale

To build a base, you must get 6x of any tree trunk and 3x of any stones to craft a Builder’s Workbench. The Builder’s Workbench gives you access to different types of building materials like pillars, platforms, stairs, doors, flooring, planks, and many more.

Open your inventory, craft a Crude Pickaxe and a Crude Hatchet, and start chopping and smashing some trees and stones to get the materials to craft the Builder’s Workbench. Farm more than the usual amount since you’ll also turn them into building materials using the Builder’s Workbench.

Once you have the Builder’s Workbench, drag any type of wood or stone into the Builder’s Workbench’s input, and it should show different building material crafting options. Craft what you need like platforms, a door, and roofs to start building your house.

Let your creativity flow! Build to your heart’s content. As a building tip, you can build ropes near the walls, and you can climb above them to let you get up and build a higher wall – either that or start building some staircases if you are planning on setting up multiple floors.

You’ll need hundreds, even thousands, of wood and stones, so you should start farming a lot of materials early so you don’t have to go back and forth foraging when you are building.
