Thumper is one of the more common enemies in Lethal Company, and it’s always helpful to know how to detect them before they engage you, how to deal with them when they attack you, and most importantly, how to beat them. Here’s what to do against Thumper in Lethal Company.
How to Spot Thumper in Lethal Company
As their name goes, Thumpers are known for thumping on the ground while moving. They look like a monstrous shark. If you keep your ears open, you will be able to hear Thumper announce its presence from a very safe distance, and if you keep your eyes open, too, you might spot it trying to find you.
How to Kill Thumper in Lethal Company
If you have one of the following items in your inventory, you can kill Thumper fairly easily:
- Shovel
- Stop sign
- Yield sign
One of the best strategies to kill Thumper is smacking it on the head with any listed items. You can use its terrible maneuvering capabilities against it because it has difficulty turning left and right. As of Patch 45, jumping on a rail (to have the high ground) and smacking it from above is no longer possible, and you will instead get devoured anyway. Rail cheesing has been removed in this update, so be aware.
How to Escape Thumper in Lethal Company
If you have no means to kill it, you have to run away. I mentioned above that it has trouble turning left and right, but you can use this to your advantage since you do not have that negative trait. For best effect, you should know the layout of the facility you’re in to understand better where you will make Thumper spin around and lose its momentum so that you can give yourself as many extra seconds to run as you can. Also, I believe it might be deaf, but I am not 100% sure. I know that once, I was crouching in a corner, and it just rushed past me without attacking me! We usually just bash it to death with torn signposts.
