How to Beat the Squid Guardian in Sonic Frontiers
The Squid Guardian is found on Kronos Island. You’ll notice this large pink kite flying around the island. Seriously, you can’t miss it once the draw distance loads in.
If you’re looking to take on this challenge, you’ll want to walk up to this monstrosity. Jump up onto its tail to automatically start the battle with the Squid Guardian.

After a small cutscene, you’ll be thrown onto the Squid Guardian’s paintbrush-like path. The Squid will create a way in front of you as it moves through the world. Follow the path. Of course, it won’t be that easy. You’ll need to dodge projectiles that are being lobbed your way. Shift left to right to keep the projectiles from hitting you. You’ll die if you take too much damage, and nobody wants to see that.
Once you reach the Squid Guardian’s head, give it a good bop to deal some damage. Do this multiple times to activate the bosses’ second stage. This will cause the Squid to change forms, and Sonic will be put on a large platform. Here all you need to do is homing attack the head in the middle. Then the two phases will rinse and repeat. Keep doing this until the Squid Guardian has been defeated.
