How to defeat one of the new bosses introduced in Genshin Impact 4.1.

One of the new bosses introduced in the latest update in Genshin Impact is the Millennial Pearl Seahorse. This mystical creature hides in the depths of the upper regions of Fontaine. This Kelpie, with movements that resemble an actual horse, can be found in a cavern hidden in the depths, and it’s a formidable Electro-heavy fight that can be daunting to new players. In this guide, we’ll take a look at the Millennial Pearl Seahorse and break down its weak points and other key aspects that you should pay attention to while fighting it.

What Elements Counter the Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact?

The first thing to know about the fight is which elements to bring to the battle against the Millennial Pearl Seahorse. While the fight isn’t particularly weak against a specific reaction like Frozen, it still can take a lot of damage from Cryo. Other elements, such as Pyro and Dendro, work just as well but won’t deal as much damage to the weak spot as Cryo will.

It’s important to note that the Seahorse will also be immune to any sort of Electro damage. It kind of goes without saying, but bringing Electro units or doing Electro-related reactions will cause no damage to the boss, wasting precious time. While there’s no additional mechanic tied to absorbing Electro damage, stalling the fight can result in deadly consequences.

How to Fight the Millennial Pearl Seahorse in Genshin Impact

The very first thing players will notice when fighting the Millenial Pearl Seahorse is the Xenomare Pearl that spawns under its head. This is where all the elemental damage should be channeled to, as this is the boss’s weak spot. The horse will try to deliver attacks that track the player’s position, so make sure to move around the field constantly and deliver constant strikes while covering AoE.

Once the Xenomare Pearl is down, the Seahorse will stagger and fall down. This is the perfect moment to unleash your Elemental Bursts to strike the Millennial Pearl Seahorse swiftly.

As a matter of fact, there’s an achievement for taking down the Seahorse while it’s trying to restore its Xenomare Pearl, so make sure not to waste any second and take it down quickly.

Should you fail to kill the boss, the fight will move on to its next phase. After recovering its pearl, the boss will continue to try to hit the player with strikes that track their position. One of its more prominent attacks includes a ground pound on the player’s position, while the other is an attack that summons several pearls on the field that explode.

What Materials Does the Millennial Seahorse Drop in Genshin Impact?

The Millennial Seahorse in Genshin Impact is a formidable foe that has plenty of rewards at the cost of 40 Fragile Resin. The Seahorse offers Fontemer Unihorn, a character ascension material that can be used for characters such as Neuvillette, Electro-aimed Crystals, and several artifacts that can range from 4-star to 5-star.
