Showcases in Moonlighter 2 are pieces of furniture on which you place relics to display in your shop for customers to view and hopefully buy. When you start, you have access to four showcases, and there are no clear instructions on how to add more.

Here is how to increase the number of showcases in Moonlighter 2.

Add More Showcases in Moonlighter 2

To add more showcases to your shop, first complete the second challenge of the Endless Vault, The Endless Vault II, by earning a total of 50,000 gold. You don’t need to have this Gold on you, but the overall earnings must reach 50K.

After that, Ms. Scratch will appear near your shop entrance and offer to upgrade the shop for a fixed price of 25,000 gold.

Pay her whenever you can; it doesn’t have to be right away, and the shop will be upgraded to level 2, granting two additional showcases for relics and extra space for furniture. This also increases K33P3R’s chest size.

This brings the total number of showcases in your shop to six, which is a good amount to showcase your prized relics, ready to be purchased by eager customers. It also means less micro-managing because you have multiple active showcases.

Upgrading the shop to level 2 will unlock the “Fresh Venture” achievement.

There is another achievement tied to this, “A Growing Business,” which unlocks when you upgrade the shop to level 3. I’m sure this will add even more showcases to the shop, but I haven’t unlocked it myself just yet.

Tips To Acquire 25,000 Gold

Since you need 25,000 Gold for the level 2 upgrade, I have a few tips to make the grind a bit easier:

  • During your run, aim for all the nodes with chests, especially ones with blue or purple chests.
  • Aim to collect Relics of higher rarity, even if common/uncommon Relics have a higher quality value.
  • Avoid fighting mini-bosses or the major boss since these runs should be about collecting loot rather than fighting enemies.
  • Keep an eye on your health and available potions so you don’t die during the run and lower the quality of your relics.
  • When your health reaches 10-15, just use the pendant to head home and sell everything.
  • Keep an eye on the six-day calendar and try to organize your shop around it. If certain relics from a specific region are popular, definitely aim for that since popular relics sell for considerably more if a dedicated day is active.

At this stage in the game, you can easily collect 25,000 in two to three runs if you prioritize looting over combat. Having additional showcases makes the shop part really fun and allows you to sell relics much faster.
