How to Activate the Premium Battle Pass in Diablo 4 Season 1

The Premium Pass won't start itself.

With Season 1 underway in Diablo 4, players can check out the first Battle Pass in the game, and many already have the chance to use the Premium Battle Pass on their account. But it won’t activate by itself, and to get the ball rolling on your own premium pass, I have just the guide for you.

Diablo 4 – How to Get the Premium Battle Pass

You need to use your token to activate the Premium Battle Pass in Diablo 4 Season 1. You can find the pass by opening up the main menu and scrolling over to the “season” tab on the far left. Everyone will have a free pass activated by default, even if you already purchased the deluxe versions of Diablo 4 that contained pass access.

Below the Season Journey and the Season Blessing section, there is an option to activate the Premium Battle Pass. This is for anyone that already had the Deluxe Diablo 4 editions or played the game a week before the official release.

Players who have those Deluxe editions will have a token assigned to their account. You can save that token for a later season or you can spend it now to get the Season 1 Premium Battle Pass. And for everyone else, you can also just purchase the premium version whenever you want through the store.

What is the Accelerated Pass in Diablo 4?

Some of the players who bought Diablo 4 will already have the Ultimate Editions. This means you get an Accelerated Battle Pass, which is another name for the Premium Battle Pass with 20 additional Tier Skips. This version is activated the exact same way as the standard Premium Pass.

The Accelerated Pass is the most expensive and I wouldn’t recommend buying it because there isn’t much difference from the premium version. But if you want everything possible in Diablo 4 Season 1, then go for it.

As you get into the Season of the Malignant, read through my guide on whether you should skip the campaign before committing to the story.
