FromSoftware games are well known for offering players multiple endings, depending on how they play through the games. Elden Ring is no different, and despite being just as obtuse and difficult to decipher as other Soulsbourne titles, the game does offer a variety of different endings for players to try and achieve.
There are four different endings that players can get, depending on the actions they take while playing through the story, the NPCs they speak with, and the secrets that they discover.
- “Elden Lord – Age of Fracture”
- “Elden Lord – Age of Duskborn”
- “Age of the Stars”
- “Lord of Frenzied Flame”
And this point, precisely what steps players need to take to achieve each ending are unknown, but there are rough details below. Players should be advised the descriptions of each ending will contain some spoilers.
Elden Lord – Age of Fracture
For this ending, players need to follow the path of the Two Fingers and select “Mend the Elden Ring” after the final boss fight. This ending sees the player character become the Elden Lord and begin a new age.
Elden Lord – Age of Duskborn
For this ending, players once again follow the path of the Two Fingers but instead choose to use the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince. Once again, the player character becomes an Elden Lord, but the Lands Between are no longer cursed.
Age of the Stars
This is the ending players achieve if they follow Ranni’s questline. After the final battle, use Ranni’s summon sign to make her a new god and become her champion.
Lord of the Frenzied Flame
Effectively the “evil ending” where players can follow the path of the Three Fingers and become the Lord of Chaos and Frenzy.
