How Long Is Alan Wake 2 The Lake House? – Answered

Agent Kieran Estevez reporting for duty!

The Lake House is the second expansion for Alan Wake 2, and it’s available now for all Deluxe Edition owners. This expansion takes Agent Kieran Estevez to the Lake House facility on an artistic journey like no other. Unlike Night Springs though, The Lake House has the tone and pacing of the base game, leaning more into the survival horror aspects. If you’re wondering how long the Lake House expansion for Alan Wake 2 is we have you covered.

Alan Wake 2 The Lake House Length

The Lake House expansion for Alan Wake 2 is roughly two and a half hours for an average playthrough, with occasional exploration and document reading.

If you rush through it though, we can see players finishing it in less than two hours as well. To find everything that DLC has to offer including unlocking all the locked computers, we estimate a completionist run to take around three to three and a half hours.

You’re getting almost the same amount of content as Night Springs, though that has three individual stories, each of which can take around an hour to complete.

Is the Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition Worth It?

Yes, we think that the deluxe edition is completely worth it and despite the short length of the expansions, the content in each is focused, full of new mysteries, revelations, and tons of cosmetics as well. It also expands on the shared Remedy universe and has nods to almost all previous titles of the studio.

The Standard Edition for Alan Wake 2 costs $50, while the Deluxe Edition costs $70. However, both the Deluxe Edition, as well as the Deluxe Upgrade regularly go on sale. At the time of writing, Alan Wake 2 is available for just $24 on the Epic Games Store, and the Deluxe Edition upgrade is for $10. It’s a steal at this price, and if you have been holding out on the game, this is the best time to get it.

Console users interested in the Physical edition can grab the complete experience along with Alan Wake Remastered for $80. This not only includes all the Deluxe Edition content but Alan Wake Remastered as well.

Overall, while The Lake House isn’t the longest expansion, it’s well worth playing through, especially if you’re a fan of the new characters introduced in Alan Wake 2, and the larger Remedy universe.
