How Long Does it Take to Beat Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2?

I just want to smash more Tyranids.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 follows the footsteps of Space Marine 1 with another grueling campaign. Apart from the campaign, Space Marine 2 features several game modes, such as Operations and its online PvP matchmaking. Players might feel like the campaign would be short since they introduced two other major modes to the game.

However, the campaign still has the perfect length, similar to Space Marine 1. Even without playing the first game, you can enjoy the sequel because of its upgraded Swarm Engine, similar to games like World War Z. But how long would Warhammer 40K Space Marine take to beat the campaign? Let’s find out.

How Long is the Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 Campaign?

Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2’s campaign length is roughly 8 to 12 hours to finish. The campaign is pretty linear, so this length is going to be a bit accurate. There aren’t enough customizations in the form of skills, abilities, weapons, and others to let players experiment with a few builds on the campaign, which may cut the length a bit shorter.

Since the campaign is extremely linear, you’ll rarely find yourself lost, and the length of each scenario or objective depends on your combat prowess. Nevertheless, the game is still one of the best Warhammer 40K games out there.

The campaign features many aesthetically pleasing visuals that really make you feel like you are in the middle of a never-ending war with the Tyranids. The sheer gore of every finisher you can execute on different types of enemies using different types of weapons will engross any player to experiment more and try to be a little more stylish in combat.

Some players might feel this is not enough for such a short campaign relative to the price of the game, but if you add PvP and Operation mode, you’ll surely get your money’s worth. It depends on how the developers execute their live-service plans for the game, as their roadmap already looks promising.
