League of Legends is the most popular PC game in the world, with millions of players around the globe doing their best to show off their skills and achieve victory in the Massive Online Battle Arena (MOBA) daily. As you may know, the gold currency that is found in League of Legends is one of the most critical aspects of the game. Gold allows players to upgrade their characters throughout a match to make them more powerful to help them secure a win. The importance of gold in League of Legends means players are always trying to rack up as much as they can during a match.

This desire to obtain a large amount of this currency is why the attention of the community has been focused on a recently discovered trick for getting this currency.

How to Get League of Legends Gold by Dying

YouTuber Vandiril created a video showcasing a newly discovered glitch that allows players to acquire bounty gold by killing themselves in the game. However, this particular gold mining glitch can only be utilized when you are playing the champion of Caitlyn.

How to Get League of Legends Gold by Dying

Caitlyn players will need to have either the Statik Shiv or Rapid Firecannon items equipped to the character when they are playing. All that you need to do is use your basic attack at an enemy player or minion right before they are eliminated. Doing this will make the bullet from your basic attack reflect and hit Caitlyn. Your character of Caitlyn will then die at the same time as the enemy and reward you with the Shutdown currency that an enemy player would have collected from eliminating you.

This method for obtaining the shutdown gold from Caitlyn could allow for League of Legends players to help their team gain a substantial lead in the currency during a League of Legends match and open up an even more significant opportunity to secure that satisfying win.
