Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 3 has officially arrived with its new “Splash Down” theme. With tons of water flooding the map after the events of Midas’ Doomsday Device, it only seems right that Epic Games introduce an Aquaman skin in Season 3. In this guide, we are going to show you exactly how to unlock the Fortnite Season 3 Aquaman skin.
Fortnite Season 3 Aquaman Skin – How to Unlock
If you played the previous season of Fortnite, you may be aware that there was a Deadpool skin that players could unlock by completing a variety of weekly challenges. Thankfully, with the Season 3 Aquaman skin, players won’t have to go through quite as many challenges. To get the Aquaman skin in Fortnite, players will need to purchase the Season 3 Battle Pass and complete five of the Aquaman challenges.
Unfortunately, while there are only a handful of challenges to complete, it seems that we will only be given one challenge per week. So it appears we won’t be able to get Aquaman right off the bat, but it still should be sooner than Deadpool. Further, it also looks like players will be able to earn a handful of additional Aquaman themed items by completing future challenges. If you haven’t seen the Aquaman skin in action in the game, you can check him out in the new Season 3 trailer below.
The Week 1 Aquaman skin challenge will require players to “Use a Whirlpool at the Fortilla.” If you have no idea what this means, that’s because whirlpool’s and the Fortilla are both new in Season 3. You can find the new Fortilla location in Fortnite in the southwest corner of the map, just south of Holly Hedges. Whirlpool’s on the other hand, are special spots in the water that look, well, like a whirlpool. Further, swimming in one will shoot you up into the air and allow you to redeploy your glider.
Last season, new Deadpool challenges were released every Friday, so it’ll be interesting to see if Epic stays with that release schedule for the Aquaman challenges, or if it switches things up a bit. Once you’ve completed the Week 1 Aquaman skin challenge, there are still plenty of new things to do in Chapter 2: Season 3, like ride a shark or visit Bud the Dancing Mushroom.
