Bloodstained has an obscenely large map. One that weaves itself in and around impossible architecture as though it were the snake from Sekiro. Traversing it is incredibly time-consuming, which is why you need to learn how to fast travel in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
While backtracking is an integral part of any Metroidvania, let alone the spiritual successor to one of the best ones ever made, it can be a bit irksome when you’re sprinting through over a thousand rooms just to buy some bunny ears. That’s why fast travel is so important, it keeps things enjoyable no matter how often you have to revisit earlier areas.
How To Fast Travel In Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night
Fast travel in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night entirely revolves around magical stained-glass windows. These windows depict the pied piper playing the song of his people, and each of them can warp you to any of the others. You will come across your first one just above where Johannes and co end up settling down, but you’re unlikely to know what it does until you find your second within the castle itself.
To use these portals, simply enter the room, walk up to the window, and then push up. This will open up the map, at which point you need to select one of the other portals and then as if by magic, you’ll be transported there… by magic. It’s easy when you know how. You’ll keep finding them as you move around the world, so make sure you explore every room.
