How to Evolve Sirfetch’d in Pokemon Sword

If you’re wanting to evolve a Farfetch’d, well, first you probably want to catch one. Luckily, these buggers are decently placed on Route 5 in Pokemon Sword and aren’t one of the rarest spawns. Unfortunately, they don’t show up in Pokemon Shield, so you’re going to have to get one via trade if you’re an owner of the latter. Once you have your Farfetch’d in hand, well, here’s the bit that gets a little annoying.

To evolve into Sirfetch’d, you’re going to have to make sure that your Farfetch’d critical hits on three enemy Pokemon in one single battle. The level of your Farfetch’d is irrelevant here: it’s actually getting those critical hits that is important. It’s going to have to be on three Pokemon in one battle, so we would definitely recommend trying to gear it so that you’re completing this endeavor in a gym challenge – not many Pokemon Trainers in the wild will have a team of larger than three, and you’re going to want to give yourself as much leeway as possible since Critical Hits aren’t really guaranteed. However, once your Farfetch’d succeeds and lands three of those bad boys on opponents in the same battle, you’ll be notified that it’s going to be evolving.

Now that you know how to evolve your Farfetch’d into Sirfetch’d in Pokemon Sword, go out there and seek out as many opponents as you can throw yourself against to get those critical hits!
