How to Earn Fortnite Hulk Smashers in the Marvel’s Avengers Beta

If you finish the beta all the way, you can get some digital Hulk Hands!

The Marvel Avenger’s beta is in its second weekend, and it’s the same slice of content as the first weekend. Of course, the “first” weekend was an early bonus for PS4 players, and now every console is allowed in. So if it’s your first time playing, or you didn’t get everything last weekend, you might want to know that there are some secret bonuses you can unlock. And if you’re still playing Fortnite amidst all the Apple drama, you’ll definitely want to pay attention here, as completing a certain challenge in this game will get you the Hulk Smashers for Fortnite.

To fully wrap up the beta content and unlock the Fortnite goodies, as well as a special name plate for the full Marvel’s Avengers launch, you need to complete the HARM Room challenges. These are a handful of bonus challenges you can unlock as you get through the story, but you won’t know about it unless you made headway into the campaign.

In order to unlock the HARM Room, you have to play through the fourth campaign mission. This can take a while, as the missions are pretty lengthy. The fourth mission actually introduces the HARM Room, so there isn’t much legwork you have to do at that point to know what to do next.

You’ll be able to access the HARM Room via the normal mission map, by selecting the Helicarrier. There are three HARM Challenge missions, and they’re all basically wave-based combat survival. You pick your hero, and do your best to survive increasingly tough waves of enemies. They can get pretty hard, so you may have to go back out and grind some gear and levels.

Once you get through the third HARM Challenge, you’ll get a few rewards. You’ll get purple-grade loot for each playable hero in the beta, and two additional messages informing you of the bigger rewards. First you get the Heroic name plate, which you’ll get to use if you pick up the full game (presumably you did, to get beta access at this point). Then you’ll get the Hulk Smashers, which is a pickaxe skin in Fortnite that’s basically those Hulk Hands that were big at toy stores when those still existed.

To claim the Fortnite goods, you’ll need to link your Epic Games account to whatever platform you’re playing Marvel’s Avengers on. Then you’ll also need to link your Epic Games account to a Square Enix Members account. It’s a pain in the butt, but if you’re a Fortnite player anyway, you probably have most of that done already. The Square Enix connection has to be done through Square Enix rather than Epic Games, so here’s the link for that.

Did you finish the Marvel’s Avengers beta last weekend, and already have all this taken care of? Or did you totally miss that these rewards were a thing? If you’re jumping in for the first time this weekend, are you more motivated to get through all the content now?
