How to Catch Every Bugsnax in Boiling Bay

Is it getting hot in here?

Here is a rundown on how to catch every Bugsnax in boiling Bay. Make sure to finish up Wiggle’s sidequest because you’ll need it to be able to see everything Boiling Bay has to offer.

Boiling Bay

Green Crapple.

This Bugsnax is caught exactly like the regular Crapple. Use the Trip Shot.

Grapeskeeto.

The Grapskeeto is caught exactly the same way as the Green Grapeskeeto. Shoot a Bugsnax with chocolate and then have it slurp it up. The easiest way to do this is to lure a Green Crapple nearby with peanut butter. Dealing with the frozen Grande Paletoss is a pain.

Golden Kweeble

Same thing as the regular Kweeble. Just lure it into the Snak Trap with chocolate.

Greater Cocomite

You’ll find a tree on the beach of Boiling Bay that has the grapple icon on it. Shoot it to drop a coconut. Take that coconut and throw it into the nearby lava stream to set it ablaze. It will then crack into both a Greater and Lesser Cocomite.

Wait for them to no longer be on fire and then use either the Trip Shot or the Snak Trap on them. They love chocolate so use that to your advantage.

Lesser Cocomite.

The same exact method as the greater Cocomite.

La Sodieux

You’ll find this guy floating around the ocean. Use the Trip Shot to knock him out and grab one.

Noodler

These guys are found in the lava caves. You’ll need to lure a Grande Paletoss into the caves. You can do this by going near one to anger it and then slowly pull it’s attention to the cave. Once it’s inside the cave, you can bait out the Noodler from the lava using hot sauce. Get the Noodler and the Grande Paletoss to touch each other and it will extinguish the flame son the Noodler allowing you to catch it.

Paletoss

The Paletoss is a smaller version of the grande Paletoss that is found when you break up a Grande Paletoss. To do this you’ll need to lead the Grande Paletoss into the lava stream, set it on fire, let the fire extinguish, and then wait for the bomb countdown above its head to hit zero. It will then break into two separate Paletoss.

Paletoss Grande

The Paletoss Grande can be caught by leading it into the lava stream, setting it on fire, and then before the bomb timer hits zero, you want to bait it into a Trip Shot to knock it out. This will let you catch it. It is tricky to get the positioning right, but I usually set up a Trip Show between the anchor and the tree next to the lava.

Red Banopper

The Red Banopper is extremely similar to the Cobhopper. What you have to do is set up a Trip shot between the two trees. Walk away and wait for it to knock itself out.

Flamin’ Cheepoof

The Flamin’ Cheepoof has a lot of moving parts in order to catch it. First, use your Snakscope to figure out its flight pattern, then lure one of the Paletoss Grandes over to the lava caves as you did with the Noodler. Shoot a Trip Shot in the way of the Flamin Cheepoof so it falls on the ground, not in the lava. Then bring the Paletoss Grande over to the Knocked out Cheepoof to extinguish it and then quickly snatch it up.

Sherbie

Go all the way to the end of Boiling Bay, around the bend you’ll find a frozen Sherbie crawling around a patch of grass. Place your Buggy Ball in the lava stream, then attach your Trip Shot to it, crossing paths with the Sherbie. This will light your Trip Shot on fire and allow you to melt the Sherbie when it hits it. Wait for it to extinguish and then capture it.

 Fruity Snakpod

The Fruity Snakpod is yet another Snakpod hiding around the game. The easiest one to find is right above Floofy’s little cover. Look up on the mast of the broken pirate ship and use the Grappler to snatch it.

Minimaki

Ok, so similar to the Mama Mewon, the Minimaki can only be obtained via side quest progression. You’ll need to progress Wiggle’s questline until she brings you to Boiling Bay after hearing about a legendary Bugsnak.

She will start singing and summon the Megamaki, which is a made up of Minimaki.

Megamaki

Ok, so similar to the Mama Mewon, the Minimaki can only be obtained via side quest progression. You’ll need to progress Wiggle’s questline until she brings you to Boiling Bay after hearing about a legendary Bugsnak.

She will start singing and summon the Megamaki, which is a made up of Minimaki.

The Megamaki can fly and will soar over Boiling Bay. Giant polls will come out of the ground, and you must use your Trip Shot to connect the columns together in the Megamaki’s flight path. Once it trips the wire it will break into a bunch of Minimaki pieces. Collect all of the pieces to finally be able to catch the head of the Megamaki.
