Players who are interested in finding and catching this fish during the month of May will need to make their way to a pier, as this is the location on your island where this particular aquatic creature will be found. This fish has a large shadow size, so players will want to keep a lookout for large shadows and cast at them if they’re going to have the best chance of catching the Mahi-mahi during their fishing adventures.

This particular creature will spawn throughout the day, so individuals will not have to set aside dedicated time during a specific portion of the day to have a chance of encountering and catching the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fish. Players will see that this fish will be in the game until October.

Unfortunately, players in the South Hemisphere will not have the ability to encounter and catch this particular fish during May, as it will not appear in the Southern Hemisphere until November, where it will be available for players in the Southern Hemisphere to encounter and catch until April.

This fish can be sold for a total of 6,000 Bells, making it one of the most valuable ones in the game. Players will be able to improve their financial situation by a great deal if they can catch and sell one. However, it can be sold to CJ as well for a total of 9,000, meaning that players who wait to do business with CJ will earn many more Bells for the fish they catch.
