This guide covers how to complete the Icing on the Cake assassination challenge in Hitman: Episode 4. During this episode players will have to infiltrate a high-profile hotel in Thailand’s capitol city in an attempt to take out Jordan Cross, a famous rockstar, and his overbearing lawyer, Ken Morgan. There are many different ways to take out these two targets, but this guide will only cover one. Keep reading below to find out exactly how you can complete the Icing on the Cake assassination challenge, as well as find out how to obtain the Chef’s outfit so you can wreak the ultimate havoc on the unsuspecting upper class of Bangkok’s most illustrious hotel.
Acquire the Chef Outfit
The first thing you’re going to need to do is acquire the Chef outfit from the kitchen area. As it turns out, today is Jordan Cross’ birthday, and his friends are throwing him a surprise birthday party. Your job, should you choose to accept this challenge, is to acquire a Chef’s outfit, grab the cake topper, and then wait for Jordan Cross to attend the birthday party. While at the party you will then have to step up behind him, and shove his face into the cake, smothering him in his own celebratory desert.
We’ve already covered several of the different ways to take this rockstar mogul, however, you should feel free to check out our other guides covering the Thunderkiss ’65, Look Ma, No Head, and Don’t Forget to Flush assassination challenges.
Head into the hotel, and make your way through to the back area. This part might be marginally easier with a Soldier’s outfit, however it is not required if you remain stealthy, and stay out of sight as much as possible. After you have made it through the hotel to the kitchen, hide and listen to the Chef’s call about the birthday cake topper. This is your way in. Once the call is over, sneak into the food cooler, where two cooks are busy looking through their inventory. Wait for one of them to walk away, and then subdue them both, hiding them in the nearby container so that their bodies are not found.
Make Your Way to the Party
Now equip the Chef outfit, and head back out into the kitchen. The cake topper can be found on one of the counters, but be careful as the head Chef will see right through your disguise. Once you have the cake topper, head out of the kitchen and back through the hotel, towards the stairs that you have to use to complete any of the Jordan Cross assassination challenges.
Climb the first set of stairs, and then head into the doorway just beside the stairwell. You’ll find the party guests already inside, waiting for the topper to arrive. Place the topper on the cake, then wait for the crew member to call Dexy and tell her that everything is ready.
Patience is key here. After the crew member gets off the phone, the rest of the guests will get into their places. We suggest standing off the side, somewhere in front of the other guests, as this will allow you to easily walk up behind Jordan Cross and finish him off.
It might take a few minutes for your target to arrive. Don’t sweat it. Once he arrives, let the dialogue play out until he goes to taste the cake. This is your chance to strike. Walk up behind him and press the button labeled ‘Smother’. Doing so will cause Agent 47 to slam Cross’ face into the cake, effectively smothering him with the sweet vegan desert. Once the man has stopped struggling, and you have received credit for your kill, make a beeline for the nearest exit before the guards start hunting you down.
Completing this kill will reward you with the Icing on the Cake assassination challenge, and you’ll only have one target left to take down, Ken Morgan. Of course, there are always multiple ways to take these targets out, so feel free to experiment and try different tools to get the job done. If you’re ever having problems with taking a target out, feel free to look back over our guides for new ideas, methods, and pointers to help you become the best Hitman that has ever walked the earth.
