Here’s What Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access Will Offer

The Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access period is almost here, here's what you can expect from your hands-on time.

When Larian Studios announced they were taking up the Baldur’s Gate mantel, fans of Divinity Original Sin were thrilled to see their take on this beloved franchise. For those looking to get their hands on this D&D adventure early, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 Early Access period.

Larian game director Michael Douse recently took to Twitter to outline what fans can expect from the upcoming Early Access period, including Twitch integration that will allow players, and viewers, to vote on certain choices, as well as 25 hours worth of content. The price point is set at full-price for $59.99, though that price will carry over to own the full game at launch. 

The Early Access period will be for PC and Google Stadia players on September 30th. Here are the recommended specs before diving in on PC: 

Minimum:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel i5-4690 / AMD FX 4350
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 780 / AMD Radeon R9 280X
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 70 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: The minimum requirements might decrease over the course of Early Access, as performance improves.

Recommended:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel i7 4770k / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX580
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 70 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: The recommended requirements might decrease over the course of Early Access, as performance improves.
