With the Festival of the Lost in full swing right now in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, Guardians have been flocking to the various activities on offer to help commemorate the fallen. Veterans of past Festivals might remember whispers around the Infinite Forest, and of a special Halloween haunting related to that location: the Haunted Forest. If the question on you and your Fireteam’s lips is “where is the Haunted Forest in Destiny 2?” then this guide will help.
Where is the Haunted Forest in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep — Unlocking It
To unlock the ability to access the Haunted Forest in Destiny 2, you’re going to have to complete a sequence of events for the Festival of the Lost first. You’re going to want to head to the Tower to speak to Amanda Holliday.
Once there, you’re going to have to finish the following quests from her:
- Festival of the Lost… Sector
- And Miles to Go Before I Sleep
The latter mission will involve you heading to the Haunted Forest for the first time to kill a Nightmare. Completion of this mission will award you with the Fighting Lion Catalyst and the ability to access the Haunted Forest at will so that you can take on the horror that lives within it at your leisure. Each branch that you complete of the Haunted Forest will make the ensuing ones more difficult, so make sure that you keep that in mind as you’re hunting down the Big Spook.
Where is the Haunted Forest in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep — Accessing It
