Players will find that the Hammerhead will spawn in the sea, so those interested in obtaining this aquatic creature will need to visit the sea on their island or someone else’s island. However, players can not find these creatures in the sea at any time of the year. The Hammerhead will spawn in the sea between June and September in the Northern Hemisphere. Animal Crossing: New Horizons players in the Southern Hemisphere will be able to encounter and catch the Hammerhead in January, February, March, and December.

It is also important to note that this creature will not spawn at any time of the day. Players can encounter and catch the Hammerhead Shark between 4 PM and 9 AM. This spawning schedule means that players will have to set aside some dedicated time between 4 PM and 9 AM if they want to have a chance at catching one of these critters in the sea.
