Gray Zone Warfare: How to Complete the Starter Missions

Three tricky missions to complete

Gray Zone Warfare isn’t your simple cup of tea as far as FPS titles are concerned, and that becomes pretty clear when you start the game. With different factions, the starter quests might have the same format, but everything else about them is different. Here’s how to complete the Starter Missions in Gray Zone Warfare.

What are the Starter Quests in Gray Zone Warfare?

The first set of quests involves three different missions handed to you by three different subjects. All these missions can be completed in the starter town, but they could take some time (knowing Map Square will quicken the process).

  • Meds Wanted
  • Cache Retrieval
  • First Recon

How to Complete The Meds Wanted Mission in Gray Zone Warfare

First, you will have to find a small single-story building with two rooms, which is located by the water tower. The coordinates of the water tower will vary based on the faction of your choice.

  • Lamang Recovery Initiative Faction – Map Square 200 163
  • Mithras Security Systems Faction – Map Square 172 118
  • Crimson Shield International Faction – Map Square 140 161

Go to the room on the right. Head towards the compound, and at the back of the room, you’ll find a shelf that contains the medicines. Make sure you have sufficient space to carry all the medicines back to your base. Once you hand them over to the Lab Rat, the Meds Wanted quest is over.

How to Complete the Cache Retrieval Quest in Gray Zone Warfare

This is the second of the three starter missions, and Gunny assigns it. The main objective is to mark two caches. One of these two caches is present in the Lumberyard, and the other one is located at one of the warehouses. Again, the coordinates will differ with the faction of your choice.

  • Lamang Recovery Initiative Faction – Warehouse cache (Map Square 201 164), Lumberyard Cache (Map Square 200 162)
  • Mithras Security Systems Faction – Warehouse Cache (Map Square 172 117), Lumberyard Cache (Map Square 172 119)
  • Crimson Shield International Faction – Warehouse Cache (Map Square 140 163), Lumberyard Cache (Map Square 141 161)

Just reach the lumberyard in the town, and you’ll find a small shack on the left side. There’s a desk at the back of this shack, and a pile of crates is situated in front of it. Just interact with the desk, and you’ll be able to place the tracker from your inventory.

Next, go to the back of the warehouse, where the cache is located. You’ll find a small extension that acts as a room, and all it has is a pile of wooden boxes. Just place the tracker on it to complete the Cache Retrieval Quest.

How to Complete The First Recon Task in Gray Zone Warfare

The final task is handed to you by Handshake, and the objective is to find three different locations present in the starting town. You’re essentially looking for a gas station, a convenience store, and a demolished building. Complete this quest is arguably the easiest out of the three, as all you have to do is to go near these locations. Once again, the coordinates will vary based on the faction of your choice.

  • Lamang Recovery Initiative Faction – Gas Station (Map Square 200 160), Convenience Store (Map Square 201 163), Demolished Building (Map Square 203 163)
  • Mithras Security Systems Faction – Gas Station (Map Square 170 121), Convenience Store (Map Square 171 188), Demolished Building (Map Square 170 116)
  • Crimson Shield International Faction – Gas Station (Map Square 144 161), Convenience Store (Map Square 141 162), Demolished Building (Map Square 141 165)

Once you’re near the respective landmarks, the First Recon task will be automatically completed in Gray Zone Warfare. Check out All Weapons in Gray Zone Warfare.
