A few players have dug a little deeper into the game and uncovered a new item called the Grape-Harvest Basket.

The existence of this item has led many to ask whether grapes are going to be added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Grape-Harvest Basket Suggests New Fruit Coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The Grape-Harvest Basket is a new item coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons as part of a Grape Harvest Festival during the month of September.

What’s cool about the Grape-Harvest Basket is that it’s a bag that can be worn on your back and we have to say… it looks extremely cute!

As of right now, the Grape Harvest Festival has yet to begin and a specific release date for the Grape Harvest Festival has yet to be announced.

All we know is that it’s coming in September according to reports from multiple Animal Crossing: New Horizons players.

While the Grape-Harvest Basket isn’t the first grape-related item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons it’s one that’s sparked a number of conversations as to whether new collectible fruits will be added to the game.

On the surface, grapes may seem like an odd choice. However, grapes are a fruit found in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility they’ll be made available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as well.

The mention of a “Grape Harvest Festival” also makes it sound like Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will be able to obtain grapes and use them to craft exclusive items similar to previous seasonal events like the Cherry Blossom Festival.

It’s unclear whether you’ll be able to actually grow grapes on your island like peaches, cherries, and oranges.

The Grape-Harvest Basket and Grape Harvest Festival could potentially herald the arrival of vineyards in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as well.

Again, the Grape Harvest Festival will reportedly begin in September with the Grape-Harvest Basket being an item you can purchase from the “Seasonal” section of your Nook Shopping app for 800 Bells.

It’s worth noting that nothing has been explicitly confirmed by Nintendo in regards to grapes coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons and a start time to the Grape Harvest Festival.

That said, the appearance of the Grape-Harvest Basket has us excited to hopefully see more grape-related items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the near future.

Be sure to check back as we’ll be updating you as soon as we know more about the status of grapes in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, an official start time to the Grape Harvest Festival, and the arrival of the Grape-Harvest Basket.

Now that you know more about the Grape-Harvest Basket and how it suggests that new fruit could be coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, we have a few other Animal Crossing: New Horizons guides for you to check out including:
