Fortnite Week 15 Challenges | How to Duel a Character

by Morgan Shaver

The Season 5 Week 15 Challenges go live in Fortnite on Thursday, March 11. When looking at the list of Week 15 Challenges, you’ll notice that the Legendary Quests task you with dueling a character.

If you’ve never dueled a character before, we’ve got you covered with a quick guide on dueling characters in Fortnite!

Fortnite Week 15 Challenges | How to Duel a Character

As part of the Week 15 Challenges in Fortnite, you’ll need to duel a character. As for how to do this, you’ll first need to find a character that offers a duel as an option, not all characters offer this.

When you find a character that offers a duel as an option, you’ll see the following symbol when you speak with them:

By selecting that crossed gun and dagger symbol and selecting it again to confirm, you’ll begin the process of dueling with that character. You’ll know the duel has been accepted as you’ll be sprung backwards and will need to proceed forward and start shooting at the character you’ve chosen to duel.

By defeating that character in a duel, you’ll earn a reward (in addition to making progress in your Week 15 Challenges).

A few options when it comes to dueling characters in Fortnite include Brutus at Dirty Docks, Kit at Catty Corner, Menace at Colossal Coliseum, Kondor at Misty Meadows, Blaze near Holly Hedges, Ragnarok at the Viking Vessel near Holly Hedges, and Big Chuggus at Slurpy Swamp.

In the map image at the very top of this guide, we’ve circled the locations where you can find these characters that offer duels. Who you choose to duel is entirely up to you, and the key to success is coming to the duel prepared.

Max your shields, load up on powerful weapons and ammo, and grab some resources to build structures if needed. Also take note of the nearby area and make sure there aren’t enemies looking to give you a hard time as you’re working through your duel.
