Fortnite players digging into the Week 11 Challenges have found themselves wondering where exactly they can go to pick up Cupid’s Crossbow.
The Legendary Quest asks players to deal damage with crossbows, which is simple in and of itself, but tricky when it comes to the actual process of acquiring Cupid’s Crossbow and using it effectively.
To help, we’ve put together a little overview of how you can get a Crossbow in Fortnite.
Fortnite Week 11 Challenges | How to Get Cupid’s Crossbow
The quick answer to the question of how to get Cupid’s Crossbow in Fortnite is you’ll need to search for it as Floor Loot, or in Chests, Llamas, and Supply Drops. Cupid’s Crossbow is of Epic rarity, meaning it’ll be outlined in purple.
To increase your chances of getting hold of Cupid’s Crossbow, you’ll want to land where rare loot can be found. This is often at named locations like Colossal Colosseum, The Orchard, Sweaty Sands, Slurpy Swamp, and so on and so forth.
We personally recommend heading over to Colossal Colosseum as we were able to find a Cupid’s Crossbow there three matches in a row. Each time, it was found as Floor Loot. We also found Cupid’s Crossbow at The Orchard outside the Orchard Farmer’s Market entrance as Floor Loot.
Note that sometimes you can get lucky and eliminate an enemy player and find a Cupid’s Crossbow in their inventory. We also had this happen to us one match where the foe we eliminated had one in their inventory, so we just scooped it up and proceeded on our way.
Once you have a Cupid’s Crossbow in hand, you can proceed to deal damage with it like you would any other weapon. What’s nice about Cupid’s Crossbow is it has a scope, allowing you to deal damage from a distance.
It can be a little tricky when you’re really far away, but if you’re up on a roof and someone is approaching from the ground, you should be able to use the scope to get a few good shots in.
Cupid’s Crossbow is extremely quiet, which can be great for those who want to avoid alerting enemy players to their location. You won’t have to worry about picking up special ammo for Cupid’s Crossbow as it uses its own ammo, and that ammo appears to be infinite.
For more information on what to expect from Cupid’s Crossbow, here are the weapon’s official stats:
- DPS: 61.2
- Damage: 68
- Fire Rate: 0.9
- Magazine Size: 5
- Reload Time: 2.5
As you can see, it may take a bit of time to reach the 1,000 damage needed to complete the first phase of the Week 11 Legendary Quests. If we’re going off math, you’ll need to land around 15 successful shots with Cupid’s Crossbow at 68 damage per shot in order to reach that 1,000 damage threshold.
Again, you can pick up a Cupid’s Crossbow the same way you would a normal weapon in Fortnite. We recommend looking for one in Colossal Colosseum, though you may have luck finding one in other named locations. After you get your Cupid’s Crossbow, deal at least 15 lucky shots with it and you’ll hit the 1,000 damage total.
