Fortnite Treasure Hunters has introduced us to a new One Piece-themed map, a lot of new weapons, and most importantly, new Sprites.

For those unfamiliar, these little companions aren’t just collectibles. Each Sprite comes with a unique ability that can give you an advantage during a match, whether that’s faster reloads, extra loot, or a way to track nearby opponents.

There are also special Sprite variants to hunt down, along with a returning Sprite Mastery system that rewards players for collecting and leveling up their companions.

If you’re looking to complete your collection, here’s how to find every Sprite in Treasure Hunters and what each one does.

There are a few ways to find Sprites in Fortnite; you can get them from normal chests or find them wandering around the map. However, the most reliable way to get Sprites in Treasure Hunters is to search for Wanted Posters.

First, find a Wanted Poster. They are attached to walls all around the map. But they are more common in named areas. Interact with the poster to get a Sprite Treasure Map. The map will contain the location of a buried Sprite Chest. Head to the location and use your pickaxe to uncover the chest. Open it up, and you will find a Sprite.

The great thing about Buried Sprite Chests is that they contain Sprites that you don’t have in your collection. This makes them a much better option than relying on random loot.

Another option is to eliminate an opponent carrying a Sprite. They’ll drop their companion when defeated, allowing you to pick it up.

Special Case: Lil’ Flacko can also be obtained by defeating A$AP Rocky, the boss aboard The .. Rocky.

Where To Find Wanted Posters And Buried Sprite Chests

Wanted Posters are scattered across Crossbones Isle, with several concentrated around major POIs. Cursed Cavern, Fortune’s Fort, Loguetown, and Arlong Park are particularly good places to start your search.

There are 126 Wanted Posters and 45 buried Sprite Chest locations across the island. Here are some of the locations with the highest concentrations of buried chests:

LocationBuried Sprite Chests
Giant’s Battlefield7
Cursed Cavern6
Plunder Port5
Busy Bay4
Rubber Resort3
Arlong Park3
Windmill Village3
The .. Rocky3
Fortune’s Fort3

Don’t try to land at the POI with the most Wanted Posters. Instead, choose a POI you know the layout of and the chest locations, and find a Wanted Poster there. Then, you can rotate to the other POIs if needed. Collecting Sprites is fun, but Fortnite is still a Battle Royale, and you will be hunted down quickly if you are not careful.

How To Level Up Sprites In Fortnite

Finding a Sprite is only the beginning. You can also level up your companions to improve their abilities and unlock additional benefits.

Sprite XP is earned by completing different activities during a match, including opening containers, eliminating opponents, and extracting Sprites. Your currently equipped Sprite receives the XP, so make sure you’re carrying the companion you want to level up.

Each Sprite can reach Level 5, with several abilities becoming stronger as you progress. Some, such as Barry O’Fish and Sweet Dreams, also unlock additional effects at maximum level.

You can check your progress and available rewards by opening the Sprites section in the Fortnite lobby.

Mastery Monday

If you’re serious about collecting and leveling up Sprites, make sure to take advantage of Mastery Monday.

Every Monday from 9 AM ET, Fortnite offers double Sprite XP and double Sprite Dust for the entire day. Wanted Posters and Sprite Chests also appear more frequently across the island, making it an excellent opportunity to work on your collection.

The Sprite Mastery track is also back this season. You can access it through the Treasure tab in the lobby and earn rewards by mastering different Sprites.

Mastering seven new Sprites unlocks the Sprite Mastery Strongbox Back Bling, while mastering 40 Sprites rewards you with the Navigator’s Nosedive Umbrella.
