To get gold bars, you’ll need to either open chests around the map or kill enemies who have gold bars on them. The quantities you can find in chests are usually not much, but hey it’s a start.
You can also obtain gold bars from completing various tasks for the NPC’s around the map. These NPC’s range from Kit to Ragnorok and are usually found in sequestered areas of the map. There are a few that show up in major areas like the Colosseum.
Talking to them will give you the options to take on a quest, whether that’s killing another player, visiting an area during the match, or simply completing a task like filling up your shields. All of these quests will net you a different amount of gold bars based on the task’s difficulty.
Now that you have gold bars, what do you do with them? Well, you can spend 100 gold bars to hire these same NPC’s to fight alongside you during matches. Some NPC’s will even offer you special intel on where to find chests or unique weapons.
Basically, talk to any NPC you find on the map, they will be noted with a speech bubble above their head. You never know what you might find. Some challenges in the game will task you with collecting gold bars so it’s good to know where you can find them just in case you need a few extra.
