A new quest available in Fortnite is asking players to place a Wiretap on one of the telephone poles in Holly Hedges. The task can seem a bit confusing in regards to what telephone poles you need to interact with, and what the process of placing a Wiretap consists of.
To help, we’ve put together a quick guide explaining how to place a Wiretap on one of the telephone poles in Holly Hedges in Fortnite.
Fortnite | How to Place a Wiretap on Telephone Poles in Holly Hedges
The first step when it comes to completing the quest of placing a Wiretap on a telephone pole in Holly Hedges in Fortnite is landing near Holly Hedges.
In the map image above, we’ve circled where you’ll want to land in order to be in the vicinity of the telephone poles you’re looking for (circled in red).
This task is a little tricky as it makes you think these telephone poles are inside the confines of Holly Hedges near the various homes. However, the telephone poles you’re looking for are actually outside the entrance to Holly Hedges.
In the image below, you’ll see what these telephone poles look like.
When you approach one of these telephone poles, you’ll see an outline of a square box at the base. Next to this, you’ll see a prompt to place a Wiretap. By interacting with it the same way you’d interact with a Chest (E on PC), you’ll set up the Wiretap.
The outline of the box will fill in, revealing itself to be the completed Wiretap, and you’ll get a notification that you’ve completed the quest and have earned 10,000 XP as a reward for your troubles.
Note that enemy players tend to land in Holly Hedges so before you go looking for these telephone poles, it may be worth it to land in or outside the Holly Hedges area in order to collect weapons and supplies.
When you’re done with the Wiretap quest, you’re free to move on to other quests in Fortnite including the Week 14 Challenges that are live in the game as of the time of this writing.
