How to Make Boats Fly in Fortnite

To no one’s surprise, the Reddit community has once again uncovered a unique trick that will allow players to make boats go airborne. Posted to r/FortniteBR by u/DPR0bot, the trick requires a team of at least three players each equipped with either a helicopter, a boat, and a grapple gun. It’s essential that each player has one of the items above, or else you won’t be able to make your boat fly.

Figured Out How to Fly the Boat! from r/FortNiteBR

As you can see in the video above, the technique is simple. One person will need to fly the helicopter, while someone else drives the boat. The third team member will need to stand in the back of the boat with the grapple gun and shoot at the bottom of the helicopter. This will allow the boat to fly up in the air, and if you repeat the process multiple times in a row, you’ll find that the boat stays airborne. It’s unclear what will happen if you fall out of the sky though, so be careful if you don’t want to take any fall damage.

Helicopters, or Choppas as they’re referred to in the game, can be found at the five spy base locations, while boats can be found pretty much anywhere along the water. The most difficult item to find will be the grapple gun, which will need to be retrieved from Skye at The Shark. However, if you manage to get the grapple gun quickly, there is a boat and a helicopter nearby.
