Fortnite players looking to complete the Week 12 Challenges will eventually come across one that tasks them with crafting a weapon using Alien Nanites. If you’ve never crafted a weapon before, this challenge can certainly be confusing.

Additionally, if you’re unfamiliar with Alien Nanites and need a refresher on what they look like, we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to craft a weapon with Alien Nanites in Fortnite!

Fortnite | Craft a Weapon With Alien Nanites

The first step when it comes to crafting a weapon with Alien Nanites in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 is acquiring both a weapon and Alien Nanites.

Given that weapons and supplies including Alien Nanites are found randomly across the map, pointing towards one specific location isn’t something that can be done.

Instead, we suggest landing at satellite dish locations like Dinky Dish or at Corny Complex. Once there, pick up any weapons you find and keep an eye out for Alien Nanites on the ground.

When you find Alien Nanites, your next order of business is crafting. Open your backpack (tab on PC) and in it, you should be able to see what weapons you’re able to craft using Alien Nanites.

Next, select the weapon you’d like to craft and wait three seconds for the crafting animation to complete.

After that, you should see a notification that you’ve completed the challenge and have earned 45,000 XP as a reward for doing so in Fortnite. The next Legendary Quest for you to complete consists of destroying target dummies using IO weapons.
