In the latest season of Fortnite, there are 46 NPCs that can be found throughout the map. When Chapter 2 Season 6 first launched however, one of these NPCs – NPC #17 – was missing. We promised we’d update you as soon as we found NPC #17 and that time has come.
So, if you’re looking to complete the “Characters” section of your collection in Fortnite, here’s where you can find NPC #17 aka Sparkplug!

The quick answer to the question of “Where is NPC #17?” is the gas station at Catty Corner in Fortnite. In the map image above, we’ve marked where NPC #17 aka Sparkplug can be found.
You’ll know you’re in the vicinity of this NPC, and others, when you see a speech bubble with three dots moving around.
When you find NPC #17 aka Sparkplug and talk to them, they’ll give you three different options including upgrading a weapon (you’ll need an upgradeable weapon equipped), mod a vehicle for 80 Bars, and buy Mechanical Parts for 25 Bars.
Note that these options may change as Season 6 progresses.
As mentioned, there are 46 NPCs in total in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, with Sparkplug being #17. Previously, NPC #17 aka Sparkplug was absent from the game, resulting in many guides (including ours) marking them as “???” or missing.
Now that NPC #17 aka Sparkplug has been formally added to the game in an update along with the introduction of things like vehicle mods and Chonkers Off-Road Tires, you should be able to find NPC #17 and complete your “Characters” collection.
